O1DMatch — Platform Walkthrough Transcripts

Source: Claude Desktop project "O1dmatch call and response". These are Sherrod's narrated walkthroughs of the live platform, captured as text transcripts with in-line change notes ("we should rename X to Y", "this needs fixing", etc.).

Each transcript is one raw paragraph — they mix narration of what the user sees with improvement ideas and product roadmap notes. Valuable for training BD/CS on how the platform actually behaves today AND what's changing.

EMPLOYER SIDE

Employer Manage Sent Letters

Okay, now we're going to go ahead and press play on the video so we can see what's going on. All right, so at this point, you've sent the interest letter, and you're waiting for candidates to approve that letter. So far, we've seen an example of what happens when a letter is approved, where it goes, and things like that. So let's see letters. This one says reading a response. Okay, it'd be nice to really see what happens when I let this complete, what to do with it. Because that's the main thing I'm trying to go. So, there's a point that we don't have a video, but we're going to address that right away. Yeah, that video isn't very helpful. But in a way, I'm still somewhere to see a video of something that's completed, where to get it, and how to get it together.

Employer Upgrade Plan

All right. So what we're looking at is employer upgrade plan. So we're starting. Login. Dashboard. We're probably going to scroll down to billing. And so, yes, that's what I'm doing. Again, we want the job. They put in the promo code. We want them to be anything up to growth. So they can get up to growth for actually two months. Yeah. Or actually, it's fine for employers, not really another two to three hundred dollars. What we want to do is get to the technical recruitment plan that we talked about earlier, where they could sign up for us to actively look for people for them and their talent percentage plays for the placement, or things of that nature, and you can sign up as a petitioner ourselves for that with the talent. They know this is getting done correctly. And they have a protection layer of protection there since we have a service contract with them to go and look for candidates for the item to recycle for them for the two thousand dollars a month and make an agreement. So that's that.

Employer View Interest Letter

All right, so reporting employer view interest letter. So this is where this is happening. So we're logging in and not only sending an interest letter, or maybe we're at the point where both candidates have confirmed their interest. This is a waiting response, so they haven't replied yet. So if we go to details, make sure the position full time compensation range. Why the open is required. OK. We had a template there. You can kind of further know what that template is about. We're going to the dashboard and click PDF. That's where you get that letter of interest that doesn't have anything marked out yet. If you go to U.S. CIS, this is where we can see where the letter is there, description of job, agent that's filing, all of that. So that'd be like the actual document of the CIS. But this one's not awaiting a response yet, so it's not populated with a signature. So signatures, probably that's where that would go on the actual letter. Not that kind of like interesting, looks like an email, but the actual kind of deal memo part that USCIS would use.

Employer Manage Jobs

okay so this is a pretty smart thing of course once you post jobs you need to be able to manage them and uh this one's a pretty straightforward video not much to change here except for we need to be call them um interest inquiries we don't need to call them applications interest inquiries because these are not applications we're not giving jobs out what we're doing is creating interest letters. So instead of total applications, it should be interest inquiries. See here, you can see that you can mark as a draft, pause, start jobs, things of that nature. Or maybe something in the future is that there will be a certain amount of job posts that can be done before there is a payment due to go ahead and do that. And maybe we should in the future have it so that there could be paid promotions of jobs like for employers to they can sign up to have us actively search clients for them. And maybe that could be part of the active recruitment part of it. Oh, another thing is by having, oh yeah, so another part we should think about is put an active recruitment one to where they'll sign a contract with us saying that they empower us to actively recruit clients. And that's when we'll bring in the talent part of it. Like we're actively technical recruiters and we're empowered to go find people. And in general, these persons will be expected to work in these categories, which will help give further further credibility to O1DMatch that the people that have come here, especially if we're serving as petitioner will work, right? So that's what we can do. O1DMatch will only serve as petitioner when for companies that are signed up with us for the technical recruiting part, because then we'll serve as the visa sponsor and the petitioner on that part. And we'll facilitate the visa part but there'll be an expectation of recruitment fees like when we're there but we'll do a good job of finding them people serve as petitioners so they know that the visa process is going well and work stuff that way so that can be a special type of relationship a new tier that we do with employers.

Employer Post New Job

Okay, right now we're in the employer section about posting new jobs. One thing we wanna have the functionality to do is post new jobs for an employer once they're in there, just so that we can, as our own selves, be able to go and post jobs and not be so cumbersome on them. If they're kind enough to sign up as an employer, would be great, right? Just so that we can populate this with real companies and real jobs, because people have asked about that. So now we're playing the video. Log in. Problems. Go to my jobs, post a job. It's pretty simple job title, description, location. There maybe should be more options in here. But this is what we'll roll with with now. We'll keep it pretty crude. And when we're doing it ourselves, this is something that there may be an opportunity for our staff to go in and create jobs on behalf of the persons. Maybe even be able to set up companies without even doing the signature part for them, just so that we can get some real companies in here. It looks like you get the confirmation email. Let's open it up. Your job is live. All right, so that's pretty straightforward and I like the process. We might need to add some more features later.

Employer — Update Profile

Okay, and now we're employer for update profile. What we're gonna do, we're gonna place now. So you've already signed up as an employer. Now you're looking to set up your profile and we're getting the basic information that we need to be on the interest letter for USCIS. And one thing to know is like what you need on an interest letter is definitely different from what you need from a petitioner. All right, so you log in, we have a nice dashboard again, it'd be good to see the onboarding on the dashboard. Company profile, you can put your company logo there, which is great. So when you produce a letterhead, it'll have that right there. You got your website, DBA name, legal name, all that covered. Your industry, you can type in yourself, company size, your founder is important. Okay, so then you can put a description of what your company is and that'll show on your profile. Things like that. And there has to be somebody that's put there as authorized signatory. So that way when you do have your letters, that will certify the things that you're able to be authorized to sign letters of intent for O-1 visa purposes.

Employer O-1 Scoring Tool

All right, now we're in the recording. All right, now we're looking at the O-1 scoring tool. Before we get into it, there was a couple of things that I saw before we kind of narrate how it's going. But one, again, having it so that multiple documents can be uploaded or even a Google folder would be good for the evidence thing so that it's not so tedious putting this up in there. The other thing we need to know is if they are invited to be billed to get by more credits when they use up their scoring. The other thing is the weekly auto scoring going on. I just don't know if it is or if it's not, but that's there. But also in the notice of talent signing up, we have to have them certify that the information they're putting in is true. So that's one thing. But we need to know if it's automatically scoring. But I see that they get four credits, it looks probably per month, or they just get four credits in general when they are subscribed to the paid plan. I love that you can view the petition scoring tool and get the analysis and feedback. That looks pretty good. All right. So now I'm narrating how it goes. So you're in the portal for talent. You log in. Then you already have your documents in. So to get your scoring, you go to O-1 scoring after you upload your evidence. You got to make sure that you have good evidence uploaded. Otherwise, it's not going to work. All right. We want to fill in as many categories as you can. And again, we need to have it so that maybe one document can be used for multiple categories. So you got your scoring. It's preparing it. It's looking at the documents. It's triggering the scoring. It's doing the AI analysis. And then it gives you a score and you can see your history. And if you go to view, you can see the feedback on everything, which is great. This is a great tool.

TALENT SIDE

Talent Sign Up (with platform UX notes)

Here is the onboarding, well, actually just the signing in video, getting ready to play it and narrate it. Before we do, I need to note that I need to do a privacy thing and a terms of service notification. And in that, I should probably include that employers may be privy to having to do a placement fee. Now I'm playing the video and this is the stuff that should be in the transcript for it. Signing on is easy. You go to get started. You have four options, O-1, talent, employer, staffing agency or immigration attorney. You put in your full name and email address and password. And of course, click to agree to the terms of service and privacy policy, which needs to be checked and written up. Now, what's very important is that we get consistent email to confirm things. Here we have a temporary email address. You can see it's coming from O1DMatch. They can confirm the email or copy the link and put it into. And do the thing. OK, so now we're here. You can see that it works there into the dashboard and you can start building your profile. What would be nice is if there are some videos here. That would help with that showing like the onboarding. The onboarding video that exists should maybe be prominently featured by link. So when people go first to their dashboard, they're automatically shown that there is an onboarding videos that they can see.

Talent — Complete Talent Profile

Hello, we're back and right now we're looking at completing the talent profile. Playing the video now, you can see that there's a score there for the O-1. And that's based off of the evidence in the online profile. There's an API that goes through that weekly and updates that number so that employers can see where they are for eligibility and talent can know where they are too moving forward. So you can select your ideal work locations and click the button that you're willing to relocate so that you can indicate that you are willing to work somewhere that is not listed. And ideal salary ranges. So the employers can see that too. And that's the first part of the process. One thing I noticed that you can also see your application and selecting a petitioner, which is good to show where you're at in your own process. So you can put your current job there and a bio about yourself. The bio could be helpful towards helping the AI be able to fine tune where you are in your journey and career and specifically what industry. And the skills interface is pretty easy to add. It's not all inclusive, so not too stagnant, but your education and online profiles are helpful for the API to go through to be able to see who you are. And that's how that initial onboarding of the talent is done with putting your profiles, which are important to helping getting an accurate score of where you are in your O-1 eligibility.

Talent Upload Evidence Documents

Hello. Right now we're doing the uploading evidence. And before I get into the script and narration of how it works, I want to say some expectations of what would be great. What would be great is if you could upload a Google folder and upload multiple documents at a time and be able to have those work instead of just opening them one by one. That can be very, very tedious. So I'm not sure if that is how it's done. And if we have a function that would be able to have AI suggested criterion so that, oh, that's good. But it'd be great if we can do multiple of those at a time. We do have the extraordinary exhibits.com engine that can maybe be implemented into this so that we can drag and drop multiple files at a time and have that done and also be able to just have it done from a Google folder and things like that so it wouldn't be so tedious for somebody to do. Now I'm going to get into the narration of how it works right now, replaying the video. So you go to the evidence category and then of course you go to upload document. You can see that all of the categories are here for that to be considered. So you go to drop a document and you can see this is extracting things matching it to a one-A criteria and you can have it by AI analyze where it could go. Now one thing is that it might be able to go to multiple categories so that's something that should be considered and implemented that you can be have the same thing for awards memberships and publish material. So that's one thing that's be there. And you can add documents directly to categories as you're putting there. So that's a nice feature too, but we need to get it to where you can do bulk document uploads and have the AI kind of go through it and be able to put one document to multiple criterions, not just one.

Talent Browse Job Listings

Okay here we're doing a recording and we're looking at the functionality video for talent browsing job listings playing the video here, you can see that you go to the job or press play. So you can see we go to the jobs tab and here you can see that you can search for jobs and you can do selected skills, minimum years of experience. Would also be good to have filters such as location, filters such as job description, and maybe even a box to where you can put a search. But okay, so I mean, I guess that box is good. One thing I see is that we have a lot of made up jobs. actual jobs in here. And that's one of the problems. So one thing we need to do is get somebody that's a technical recruiter that has time to actually go and approach businesses, go on LinkedIn and say like, Hey, I see you have a job posted. We would like to post that on our new platform that does this O1A stuff like that. And maybe that's something that can get somebody to help me with. This is very easy, right? So you would just go on LinkedIn, find a job, tell the person that you're a technical recruiter, but just like something for indeed for visas, we'd like to feature your job for free. Why? Because if a talent applies for this visa and you give them interest letters, you can have access to that talent without having to do any sponsorship of the visa because they're on O1A and it's on an agent based thing. So that's what we want to do with the talent posting. But that looks pretty good on being able to just actually look at the jobs. We just need to get more jobs on here. And I like how they have like skills set there. Go high level. Maybe we should have even more skills or skills automatically get added as we have jobs that are posted, do they automatically add skills there? But that's what we're looking at there. We have located where we have a need for a job is for people to go to job postings and contact that recruiter, say like, hey, can we put you on our platform because we need to feature jobs for free and give them the link to sign them up. We need to do that at a massive scale.

Talent Apply on Job (→ Indicate Interest rename)

OK, right now we're in talent and the function apply for job. The one thing we definitely want to change is change that for application to indicate interests because they're not applying for the job. What we're doing is indicating that we're interested in the position and we're trying to get a interest letter in response. So let's go play the video. It's easy to go to. It's playing now. So you go down and navigate over to jobs. Find one that you like. You click on it. And then it says apply now, but we don't want it to say apply now. What we wanted to say is indicate interest. And so you put your cover message and we said if optional, we should say encouraged. And then instead of submit application, it should say indicate interest. So that would let the employer know that this person is interested in the job. And that looks good. But we don't want to say you're applying. What you're going to say is that we're indicating interest. And then on the other side, maybe we should say something like interest matched or something like that. But that's how that one goes.

Talent View Interest Letter

Okay, right now we're on talent viewing interest letter, so they have indicated interest and a employer has can match interest or they put interest in them if the employer is browsing for talent and now we're clicking the video to go through and narrate what's going on, so what you do is you navigate to letters and you say review. And it has the details of the position so you can see where it's at. Oh, and justification, personal message. So you download the attachment. And what that is, is like the actual like interest letter, expression of interest, boom, boom, boom. So you can see it and read it. You go back to the platform and you click accept that and you can go ahead and sign it by using your mouse. Perhaps maybe we should have like an option to use one of their things, like the automatic text. Okay, so now it's signed and it's accepted. All right, so then you have the interest letter and the signature has been done. We need to figure out what happens with that signature after the letter is accepted, because it should be something there that it should go to. So that one looked kind of like more like an email type thing letter with the letterhead, and then they sign, but where does that signature go? Does that get on a document so that you can accept it and move from there? We'll see as we go on later to tie this all together.

Talent — Functionality that is Missing

Alright, now we're looking at functions that were not mentioned in these videos that we probably need to look at on the talent side. So one is we did not look at getting your social media looked at via VisaClear. That's something that I know that's not on the functions list. I don't know. Oh, and we also need to look at select a petitioner to see how that works. And we also need to look at application. There's no video to see how that works right there. If that's the petition generator tool, that's something that needs some work anyway. So we should probably put that in beta if that's what that application part works. And the social media part we didn't look at either. So there's a couple things there. And please also be proactive with seeing what other type of functions on the talent side we did not make videos for for functionality.
